Those marketing people have actually started using their noggins. First by finally making Coke with Lime. Now by combining my beloved pepperoni pizza w/ dipping sauces ... including Ranch! So I've ordered delivery and we're gonna try Pizza Hut's Dippin' Strips Pizza.

This guy is amazing. He is the dog expert I've been searching for. Finally, someone who really knows what he's talking about and makes complete sense because he relates to dogs as dogs. I have read or listened to alot of expert advice about dogs and this is the first person who doesn't leave me thinking "but what if ..." I am greedily watching every episode I can get Tivo's hands on, often replaying crucial points.

I've been wanting to find a dog training mentor whose philosophies I agree with. He is it. It's too bad he's not a local person I could actually interact with. Maybe I should move to L.A. I've been trying to figure out what to do when my lease is up in May ...

I was so sick last night. Ugh. I'm still not feeling too stellar. I slept alot. I'm afraid to eat. I'm tired and achy. My stomach hurts.

I'm at my parents.' I had a hair appointment at my hometown hair shop. I'm red again. And I'm picking up my car from the hometown repair shop (again). And then I'm leaving it at my parents' and borrowing the truck. So Brian can pick up a bed from Jeremy's friend and maybe buy stuff at Ikea. And Lynn can move her new bed home from our house where it was delivered with Jeremy's.

Between the hair shop and here, I visited the 2 local pet stores. I got a few ideas for some products to order for our store. And I chatted with and whistled at the birds.

I am considering adopting an Amazon parrot, Franko, who was basically abandoned at my store before I started working there. He's untrusting and not handleable at this point. When I mentioned it to my 2 female coworkers they were excited and thought it would be great for him to get a better home. But I just don't know if I can make that kind of commitment. I like him but I don't even know where I'm going to be living in a few months. And I'm bad at time management so I don't know how much I'd be able to work with him. Especially when I finally get a dog. Then there's the expense. I would want to get him a much larger cage and perches and toys. And probably some really tough bird-handling gloves.

Xena is sitting on Mom's bed in the sun so she can be near me. I'm at the computer so I can use their tax software. Maybe I should get started on that ...

Another late night. There was a traffic jam on the beltway so I got off and went shopping. I went to the craft store (ACMoore) and then the art store (Pearl), looking for a wierd sized poster frame (42x59cm or 16 1/2 x 23 1/4 in). They of course did not have it even though both stores sell the exact "mini poster" I want to frame (it's a puppy of course). I would settle for 18x24 if anyone had it in white.

I did buy cute socks, a doggie note pad, pet stickers and scented votive candles. Then I grabbed cheap eats at Mickey D's & ate & drove. I passed my neighborhood and went to the Wal-mart to check for the frame. Nope. But I got a scrap of The Dog fabric, a suede-like body pillow for $6 and DVD pop culture Trivial Pursuit from the clearance shelf.

And I saw on my way out that they actually have cases of the new Coke w/ Lime. Yay! So once I've finished the 5 cases of Pepsi & Pepsi Twist I got on super sale, I know where to go. They also have the new diet cherry vanilla dr. pepper (yuck, yuck, yuck & yuck) that Brian is crazy about.

When I got home I had an email from someone about setting up a lab rescue adoption event at the store. Sounds like a great group. Hopefully we can help each other.

Well it's past my bedtime. I'll have to work on that other post I drafted tomorrow. Have a great Friday!

Sorry. I know I promised a post tonight. I guess technically this counts, but it isn't what I had in mind. I didn't get home 'til almost 10 cuz my car went haywire this morning and I had to (slowly & gingerly) drive it down past my parents' house to the repair shop after work. Then I got my Dad's car and visited my folks & the dog briefly. Then I stopped at Wawa for sandwiches. Now I am tired.
