My paid vacation is scheduled for Fri. Aug. 5 - Sat. Aug. 13. What should I do?

Hooray for Tuesday ending! A whole week until another one! (It's the craziest day at work ... shipment day ...)

Wish Xena luck on her field trip tomorrow. Since I have to do some cage cleaning and general care for the guinea pig, cockatiel and bearded dragon I'm petsitting near the store, I'll be gone too long tomorrow if she stays all the way down here at my parents' house. So she's going to spend the day at that house while I'm at work.

I'm hoping to have time to visit the store with her in the morning before grabbing a bagel or breakfast sandwich and getting her settled in. And though my shift doesn't start til 11:30, it looks like I need to get up at 7 to get all that taken care of in addition to shoveling a backlog of horse manure that is growing mold (EW!) because of all the rain, and getting showered and getting all Xena's gear loaded up (crate, exercise pen, toys, dishes...). It's quite a long commute and they seem to enjoy causing me misery by shutting down lanes of the beltway for road construction.

FYI I do not do 7 o'clock in the morning. I am not a morning person. I usually have trouble making it to my 11:30 shift when I have no dogs to walk or horses to feed, etc. So tomorrow I may be a little groggy and slightly extra cranky. And I'm guessing I'm going to be pretty sore from the sh** shovelin.'

I'm still away from home. This week I have very limited internet access. I am so busy busy. I'm updating my moblog regularly though. Maybe I'll have time to post here by the weekend.
