Lazy Post
Cut and pasted from my Presto printer email to my grandparents on Friday night:
Hi Grandma and Grandaddy! Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well. It has been a very busy week for me.
I took care of a lot of dogs New Year's Eve - Thirteen!! And six friends joined me. It was fun and very profitable. Three of the dogs had to be kept separate from the others, and they all had to be fed separately. Playtime got a little messy in the muddy back yard. At least it wasn't very cold. And the dogs were all so cute and funny. There were 2 briards, a sheepdog/terrier mix, a bearded collie, an afghan hound, a shih tzu, a boxer mix, 2 schnauzers, 2 poodle mixes, a chocolate lab mix, and a Lakeland terrier puppy. My friends and I played with dogs, made food, talked and watched TV.
On Wednesday Mom, Dad, Jill, Brian and I celebrated Dad's birthday in Annapolis at the Double T Diner. Jill gave Dad a very cute "gift certificate" that she made herself, offering to spend time helping him with the project of his choice.
Things are much better at work, and I had a lot to do with resolving the situation, so I'm pretty happy. Elizabeth did not quit after all, since we were able to talk things out with the bosses.
I signed up for a Belly Dancing class at my gym. It starts Tuesday night. It sounds like a fun way to get some exercise for a couple of months.
I think I am going to start looking for another car, but I don't know what I want. My car's minor problems that I haven't been bothered by enough to fix are really adding up to making my car annoying to drive. Air conditioning hasn't worked since I bought it, now the heat dial won't let me turn it up or down, it's just always on. The front suspension isn't very good, so it's always a bumpy ride. Since the top is made to come off, it tends to leak in the rain. So today I had wet pants. And the car smells like mildew. Plus it's really tiny, so it can be a real struggle (or impossible) to fit things or people or dogs in it. It occurs to me that I could just get a better car. So I think I might.
I will try to write again Sunday on my day off. Have a great weekend!
Lots of love and hugs,
Laura
